Hill JV tasked with ensuring good behaviour on $3.6bn LaGuardia contract

5 Oct 15 A joint venture of Hill International and CohnReznick has been appointed to ensure high ethical standards are met in the replacement of the central terminal building at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

The contract for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey involves the provision of integrity monitoring services on an as-needed basis.

Construction risk manager Hill and accounting firm CohnReznick will assist with the oversight to ensure work is to high ethical standards, free from unethical, improper and illegal conduct.

The multi-year contract has an estimated value to the joint venture of up to US$11.3m (£7.4m).

A team that includes Skanska and Parsons Brinckerhoff was chosen in May as preferred bidder for the US$3.6bn project (link operns in new tab).

"The modernisation of LaGuardia Airport is a critical infrastructure project for air passengers in New York City," said Peter Wallace, senior vice president with Hill's Construction Claims Group. "Our joint venture team looks forward to ensuring that this project is implemented with high levels of integrity.”
