Hillhead launch for lighting towers

ArcGen Hilta has unveiled two new lighting products at the Hillhead plant show in Buxton this week.

Both machines are adaptations of the SMC TL-90 lighting tower.

The first is the SMC Eco90 lighting tower, designed to be fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. It has a 3000rpm engine, LED road lights and 185 hour running time. It also features four 400W metal halide lamps emitting 136,000 Lumens.

The SMC TL-90 XTRA is a rough terrain version of the TL-90, originally designed by SMC for use in Australia. It has 14” wheels for additional ground clearance, and wind down stabilisers to provide stability. Its ruggedness makes it suitable for quarrying and mining industries, the manufacturer says, or for any project based in difficult conditions. The machine also has optional extras of the traditional TL-90 fitted as standard, including powertilt and an auto-run timer.

Both new towers also have hydraulically operated masts, 360 degree mast rotation, large fuel tanks, high fuel efficiency and the ability to be equipped with autostart/stop functions.
