Hitachi order takes Fairfax to next level

Yorkshire’s Fairfax Plant Hire has placed its largest ever order for new construction machinery, buying 80 Hitachi excavators.

All the machines are eight-tonne Hitachi ZX85USB-5 excavators.

Fairfax development director Mark Love said: “This is by far our largest single order for new plant and will take us to the next level as we continue to grow the company and Fairfax brand. The number of times we hear ‘we see you everywhere’ is music to our ears and a tribute to our workforce and the effort they put into the company.”

“We thoroughly researched the market before settling on the Hitachi excavators which ticked every box in terms of overall quality, high performance, operator comfort and safety and very importantly for a hire fleet ease of maintenance. We have received excellent service from Hitachi and look forward to further enhancing the relationship in the future.”
