Home automation business calls in administrators

Administrators have been called in at specialist construction business Intelligent Homes In Control Limited.

Gary Lee and Paul Barber of Begbies Traynor will be administering the Knutsford-based business.

Intelligent Homes’ services include glass that automatically switches from clear to opaque, baths that run themselves and systems to block entertainment until homework time is over.

According to website, it delivers significant cost savings on new-build projects by liaising directly with the builder and others such as architects, electricians and plumbers to find neat and invisible installation solutions. "For an existing property, we pride ourselves on retrofitting complete automation systems as if they had always been there," it says.
