Features of the 49,500 kg machine include the new and larger 8-inch touchscreen monitor that is on all the new HX range. The cluster monitor can display information that mirrors what you would see on a smart phone and is 30% larger than previous models. It can be controlled via touch control and/or new haptic controller. It can connect to a mobile phone by Bluetooth.

Safety features include Hyundai’s AAVM (Advanced Around View Monitoring) system for 360°-surround virtual operating view, displayed on the cluster-monitor. The system consists of an Around View Monitoring (AVM) system that give a 360° view and an Intelligent Moving Object Detection (IMOD) system that senses and warns the operator when objects come within working distance of the machine. An interactive demonstration of the AAVM System will be on the Hyundai stand at Hillhead.

The HX480 L is powered by a 331kW Scania DC13 084Ac 4-cycle turbocharged air cooled diesel Stage IV-compliant engine.

Hyundai’s HX machines are also fitted with the Korean manufacturer’s Hi-Mate telematic remote management system.
