ISG has been confirmed as the preferred construction partner as part of the winning consortium bid led by GLL for the York community stadium and leisure complex scheme. The project comprises a new home for York’s professional football and rugby teams and includes leisure, retail, office and community facilities.
Alongside the 8,000-seat stadium with hospitality and conferencing facilities will be a sports centre with a swimming pool and gym and other community facilities, as well as shops and a cinema.
The project is expected to commence on site in summer 2015, with completion scheduled for autumn 2016.

ISG has exceptionally strong leisure sector credentials, delivering iconic sporting venues like the Olympic Velodrome and the National Football Development Centre in Newport, and we are looking forward to working with our consortium partners to create superb new facilities for York.”
