Kier is building 92 homes for Forest of Dean District Council, Cinderford Town Council and the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA).

The location is the former Ensor’s abattoir site on Valley Road in Cinderford. The scheme will start with the demolition of the existing abattoir, which has moved to larger premises on a nearby industrial park. The project is part of a wider plan to regenerate the town.

Two Rivers Housing Association will manage 37 of the homes and kier will sell 55 on the open market.

Kier was selected for this project last year.

Kier Partnership Homes managing director Chris King said: “Part of our winning strategy was understanding the importance of good design, and ensuring the use of a local supply chain. Working in partnership with and understanding the needs of our clients, and local residents, makes Kier Partnership Homes the number one provider of high quality affordable homes in the market place; we are proud to be part of the much needed regeneration of the area.”
