Wates recruited Andy Wall for SES in August 2016 from Interserve’s London construction business, where he was a divisional director. However, he has already decided it is time to move on.
The company said: “Andy leaves the business having successfully completed the restructuring of the SES business, having implemented an ongoing focused growth strategy and driven a successful change programme to drive efficiency and profitability right across the business. Andy has decided to seek a new challenge and pursue the next stage of his career outside of the Wates Group.”
He is succeeded by Jason Knights, who joined the Wates Group in 2010. He is credited with establishing Wates Building Services, paving the way for the acquisition of SES from Shepherd Group in 2015.
Mr Knights will also oversee the development of SES’ Prism offsite manufacturing business.
Wates Construction Group managing director Paul Chandler said: “I am pleased that we have been able to appoint an internal successor of Jason’s calibre to this critical role. I look forward to working closely with Jason and his leadership team on the next phase of the exciting growth plan for SES.”
