Laing O’Rourke wins Sydney station upgrade

The improvements to Heathcote station include a new pedestrian footbridge with a lift and stairs, new forecourts on both sides of the station, an accessible toilet on the station platform, upgrades to commuter parking areas, ‘kiss and ride’ areas and bicycle storage facilities.

“This is great news for local residents, who are keen to see Heathcote Station become accessible to all customers – including those in wheelchairs, the elderly, families with prams and those with luggage – for the first time," said Lee Evans, member for Heathcote.

Detailed design for the improvements will now begin.
