Lambeth seeks contractors for schoolwork

The London Borough of Lambeth has invited expressions of interest from contractors to tender for three primary schools.

The combined construction value is estimated to be worth between £14m and £21m.

Lambeth council is looking for design and build contractors to knock down and rebuild Julian's Primary School in the borough.

Dunraven Primary School is to be either refurbished or demolished and rebuilt.

Sudbourne Primary School is to get a new build extension on an adjacent site to the existing school.

Invitations to tender will be sent in separate lots to selected candidates, with Julian’s at the end of September, Dunraven in January 2013 and Sudbourne next April.  The intention is to start all three contracts in 2013.
