LHC steps up seminar programme

22 Jan 15 Local authority procurement organisation LHC is holding pre-tender seminars for contractors interested in its new housing framework.

LHC’s regional pre-tender seminars are aimed at contractors interested in applying to a third work stream of its offsite New Homes framework – construction services.

This is the second topic in LHC’s new programme of seminars for contractors interested in pitching for work (on which we reported last week).

The public sector procurement specialist is looking for suitable contractors to tender for a number of regional opportunities that area available to both large and SME businesses.

LHC recently launched it New Homes’ framework for volumetric and panelised offsite housing. The addition of a construction services framework is in response to customer demand and now enables LHC to offer its social housing clients a complete turnkey solution.

The new framework, which includes ground works and finishing, will be launched later this year across England, Wales and Scotland, with the tender process starting in March.

The Construction Services framework has been divided into three different work streams, according to project size. Work stream 1 is for low rise developments up to 20 units and is available in 14 regional areas, work stream 2 is for low rise developments of 21 units or more and is available in eight regional areas and work stream 3 is for high rise developments and is available in four regional areas.

Working with Buildoffsite, LHC will hold four seminars in London, Bristol, Edinburgh and Manchester, between 17th and 26th February. See www.lhc.gov.uk/events for further details.
