Lincolnshire contractor in administration with £3.3m of debts
Lincolnshire contractor Bowman has gone into voluntary administration.
The Stamford-based outfit has debts of almost £3.3m, including £1.8m to trade creditors.
The biggest creditors are HM Revenue & Customs (£521,044), DGT Structures (£276,521), and Acrabuild (£137,062).
A meeting for creditors has been convened at the Great Northern Hotel in Peterborough on 21 February.
Bowman carried out a range of new build and refurbishment projects in the East Midlands and East Anglia regions, across public and private sectors. It specialised in heritage schemes, and recent projects included work at Ely Cathedral and Lincoln Castle.
The contractor's last results, for the year to 31 March 2010, showed a turnover of £14.1m and a pre-tax loss of £768,000.
The firm had posted a turnover of £8.3m in 2008, and £11.8m in 2009.
York-based Evolution Business Recovery has been appointed as administrator.
