Loss-making 2014 for McLaughlin & Harvey

14 Apr 15 Latest contractor apparently caught out by escalating construction costs is McLaughlin & Harvey, which has reported a loss for 2014.

McLaughlin & Harvey made a pre-tax loss of £3.6m in 2014 (2013: £3.2m profit) on turnover up 24% to £196m (2013: £158m).

The company attributed the loss to contracts won during the downturn.

Despite this, the current order book is said to be healthy and further growth is expected. The number of employees grew from 382 to 427 during 2014.
