The scheme will see the 1970s Trevor Bowen Court sheltered housing block in Wonastow Road, Monmouth replaced with a new development of 20 self-contained apartments. Lovell will also build 12 two- and three-bedroom houses at the site for open market sale by the housing association.
The development is designed by the Willdig Lammie Partnership and expected to take a year to complete.
Elsewhere, Scottish care service provider Bield Housing & Care has handed Lovell a £2m contract to build a development of 20 apartments for older residents in Bearsden, Glasgow.
