Maurice Stevenson Ltd (MSL), founded in 1921, is in its third generation of Stevenson family ownership. It is based at Annesborough Industrial Estate in Lurgan.
Gerard Gildernew of Tyrone-based Gildernew & Co Ltd has been appointed administrator and is now managing the affairs, business and property of MSL.
According to the Lurgan Mail, 33 jobs are at risk. The local paper said that since the death of boss David Stevenson in 2012, his widow had faced toughening market conditions. Mrs Alison Stevenson told the paper: “It is with the deepest of regret that we find ourselves having to place the company into administration. I want to pay a heartfelt tribute to current and former staff who have worked hard and demonstrated immense loyalty to this firm and our family down through the years.”
