Mace subsidiary Macro has been appointed to carry out facilities management (FM) for the next four years at the new premises of Oman’s National Museum.
The new 13,700m2 museum is in Muscat next to the main royal ceremonial palace, Qasr al-Alam Palace.
Acting director-general of the National Museum, Jamal al-Moosawi, said: "We are pleased to be working with an internationally renowned FM provider such as Macro Group. Their flexible approach and robust processes and procedures have helped us align our FM services."
The National Museum - Sultanate of Oman, covers all aspects of Oman's cultural heritage and displays maritime history, currency, weapons and armour within its large 14 galleries. Facilities include an AV theatre, a conservation department, interactive displays and classrooms designed for teaching children who visit the museum.
