The new telehandlers have been put into hire fleets around the country and have maximum lifting heights ranging from six to 18 metres.

Director of purchasing and fleet management Andrew Winlow said: “The great advantage of the new Manitou telehandlers is their compact design, allowing them to be used on construction sites with restricted room for manoeuvre, such as inner city developments.”

He added: “The larger models we have purchased have compact stabilisers which always remain within the working width of the machine whatever the position. This investment has allowed us to update and enhance our telehandler fleet and offer our customers the latest models available with compliance to Stage IIIB regulations.”

A-Plant is expecting to spend  £100m on fleet renewal this year, as it did in 2013.
