Mansell cleared to start on Thetford Academy project
Planning permission has been given for Mansell’s £16.9m redevelopment of Thetford Academy in Norfolk.
Construction is now set to start in March.
The predominantly new build scheme will accommodate up to 2,050 pupils, consolidating what is currently two campuses onto a single site, comprising both new and refurbished buildings.
The development also includes sports pitches, outdoor games facilities, sports halls and an outdoor amphitheatre.
Construction is due for completion in September 2013.
Thetford Academy was created in 2010 following the merger of Charles Burrell and Rosemary Musker high schools.
