Mansell delighted to win £2.4 million housing conservation project in Cornwall

16 Nov 11 Mansell has won a £2.4 million project to transform former assembly rooms and a museum in Camborne, Cornwall into affordable apartments for Coastline Housing Association.

18 one and two bedroom apartments will be created over three floors. There will be a community space and parking will be available on the ground floor.

The building is part of the former Holman Brothers Rock Drill factory and is designated as a World Heritage site. It was originally built as public rooms and a centre for entertainment in Camborne. In more recent years it has been a museum, workshop, nightclub and cinema.

This contract follows on from an earlier phase of works to provide 56 homes on the site which will complete in June 2012.

Work has recently started on site and will complete in November 2012.
