Balfour Beatty Vinci JV was shortlisted in December 2015 to bid for a share of the £900m enabling works packages on the London-Birmingham first phase of High Speed 2 project. Bids will be called in the spring, with contracts expected to be awarded later this year, allowing shovels to hit the ground in 2017.
Peter Anderson joined Balfour Beatty in 1990 as a graduate engineer. Hi senior positions with the company include three years as project director for the Folkestone section of the high speed Channel Tunnel Rail Link (since rebranded High Speed 1) and seven years leading rail businesses delivering projects in both the UK and overseas. More recently he has worked on Balfour Beatty’s highways portfolio.
