The Hampshire Lakes retirement village near Yateley is being developed for care firm Anchor, which awarded Midas Construction a £16m contract to build the first phase.

The development will include more than 100 assisted-living apartments and a 36-bed care home. It was designed by English Care Village Partnerships, working with Anchor.

Midas southern divisional director Paul Strachan said: “Anchor is a very successful provider of residential care and we are delighted to be working closely with them again on this fantastic new project. Hampshire Lakes will be a stunning new development combining contemporary design with traditional architecture, and is located in a truly beautiful part of the country with a very tranquil surrounding environment.

“We are looking forward to working closely with the team at Anchor to ensure the care village is built to a very high standard of excellence. Midas has a successful track record of developments in the residential care sector and this is a major construction project for the Midas Southern team.”
