Middle East expansion for Black & Veatch

Black & Veatch has set up a new Dubai centre to serve energy and water projects in the United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern countries.

The new Dubai location is part of the company’s growth plan for the region, which also includes an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Black & Veatch has been working in the Middle East since the 1920s. The new operation is intended to provide local support to further the development of power, water and oil and gas infrastructure in the region.

Black & Veatch chairman, president and CEO Len Rodman said: “Understanding that water and energy are inextricably linked is crucial for modern infrastructure planning. This is especially vital in arid areas such as the Middle East.”

Dubai-based personnel from Black & Veatch’s Energy, Water and Construction & Procurement divisions have relocated to the new centre in Dubai’s Internet City.
