Motorway worker crushed against lorry stabiliser

1 Jun 15 The inquest into the death of a motorway maintenance worker has found that he was crushed by a lorry loader crane against a stabiliser leg.

Larry Newman, 37, was a foreman with Balfour Beatty Mott McDonald, working to fix damaged crash barriers after a lorry crash on the A2 in Kent on 1st October 2012.

An inquest at the Guildhall in Sandwich has heard that the crane was being used to extract concrete blocks from the ground.

The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
