Support will come from Keppie Design and Iain Buchan Associates, who will provide architectural and healthcare planning services respectively.

NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s Acute Services Redevelopment Project will see the replacement of the Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary with a new hospital.

The target is to start construction on site by the end of 2013 and complete by 2016/17.

Mott MacDonald will be responsible for providing technical and procurement advisory services throughout the project development and procurement stages, including architectural, healthcare planning, engineering, facilities management, environmental, cost consultancy and other construction related services.

The plan is to build the hospital under the Scottish government's Non-Profit Distributing (NPD) funding and procurement model.
