Motts to design new Iraqi oil terminal
Mott MacDonald has been appointed to design the first phase of the new Xarajyan oil terminal in Iraqi Kurdistan.
The contract for Qaiwan Group involves the provision of engineering, procurement and construction management services for the new terminal, will handle products such as gasoline, diesel, aviation turbine fuel, kerosene, fuel oil and liquefied petroleum gas.
Mott MacDonald will design the first phase of the 140,800m3 storage terminal, including auxiliary utilities and infrastructure. The consultancy will also provide interface and procurement engineering services and will assist with prefabrication, construction and assembly engineering. Construction management will be delivered through a separate contract.
The terminal is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2018.
