The new 3.6 acre facility is double the size of Hewden’s previous Bedford depot and stocks excavators, dumpers, telehandlers and access platforms.
An operated mobile crane hire fleet will also be run from the new depot, with cranes up to 125-tonne capacity.
The official opening was performed by television’s Nadine Dorries, who is also the Conservative MP for Mid Bedfordshire. “This is great for the local economy,” she said.
