He takes over from Dyfrig James of Lafarge.
The Mineral Products Association (MPA) is the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, dimension stone, lime, mortar and silica sand industries. It includes the British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF) and the British Association of Reinforcement (BAR).
Mr Brett said: “I am proud to take over the role of chairman from Dyfrig, and am keen to contribute as fully as I can to the association and its activities over the next two years. I am passionate about strengthening the unity of this great sector which is so important to the UK and the recovery.”
