Russell Down will join the board of Speedy on 6th April 2015.
He spent 17 years at consulting engineer Hyder and has been group finance director since 2008. Hyder was recently acquired by Dutch competitor Arcadis.
Speedy chief executive Mark Rogerson said: "Speedy will benefit from his highly analytical and focussed approach and I very much look forward to working with him."
