The aerial work platform has been launched at the Apex trade show taking place in the Netherlands this week.

Terex says that the Z-33/18 is designed for both indoor and outdoor maintenance applications where space is restricted.

It has a 1.9m wheelbase providing a gradeability of 30%. Working height is 12m, horizontal reach is 5.6m and up-and-over clearance is 4.28m. In addition to a 76cm long by 116cm wide platform, the man basket supports weights of up to 200 kg.

To make transport easier, the boom stows down to only 1.5m in width and 4.17m in length. Drive speed is 6km/h, combined with a 48V DC 315 Ah boom power source.

With a weight of 3.64 tonnes and ground clearance of 15cm, target applications include airports and shopping centres. Solid non-marking or multi-surface tyres are options.

“This is a completely new model designed from the ground up to offer a great combination of lightweight, compact dimensions and ‘up-and-over’ lift capabilities combined with powerful drive motors,” said Carlo Forini, director of business development & product management at Terex AWP. “Our customers are demanding versatile boom lifts for sensitive indoor tasks that are also capable of meeting general outdoor maintenance applications.”
