New qualification for tilers
Cskills Awards, in association with the Tile Association (TTA), has launched a new Level 1 training diploma and Level 1 NVQ qualification in wall and floor tiling.
The courses have been developed in association with the Sector Skills Council, CITB-ConstructionSkills, and are supported by the Skills Funding Agency.
The NVQ qualification will include 91 guided learner hours (GLH) in a workplace environment, while the diploma will include 380 GLH.
Cskills Awards product developer Rob Sweeney, who co-led on the development of the qualifications, said: “Industry needs skilled individuals across a range of subject areas and we are here to develop robust qualification standards that reflect current and future demand. Being involved in the development of these new qualifications has been an extremely rewarding process and we look forward to seeing some exceptional learners and tradespeople go on to have promising careers in industry.”
