New safety manager for Aarsleff

Bob Speakman joins Aarsleff from Cementation Skanska, where he had been senior health & safety advisor for the past nine years. At Skanska, he is credited with helping to increase reporting levels and reduce accident.

Mr Speakman is also chairman of the Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) safety and training forum and represents the UK industry at the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC).

Of his new job, he said: “I am hoping to make a positive contribution by acting to ensure that Aarsleff’s already enviable reputation within the industry, and equally good safety record, is maintained and improved upon where possible.”

Aarsleff managing director Chris Primett said: “Bob will be a great addition to the Aarsleff team. He not only has a tremendous wealth and depth of knowledge and experience of STEQ operations but also has the vision and drive to ensure standards are met and maintained.”
