New structure for Amec
International engineering contractor Amec has appointed three regional group presidents as part of a restructuring along geographic lines.
Simon Naylor, John Pearson and Hisham Mahmoud are promoted to group presidents of Americas, Europe and Growth Regions respectively. Growth Regions includes Middle East, Africa, CIS and Asia Pacific.
All three will report directly to the chief executive, Samir Brikho.
Mr Brikho said: "We see incremental benefits from providing all our services not only across our four markets of oil & gas, mining, clean energy and environment & infrastructure but also in each of our geographies. By continuing to work closely together, we can ensure our customers receive a high-quality and seamless service wherever in the world they are operating. I am confident this new structure will allow us to achieve this and so provide access to previously untapped growth opportunities."
Simon Naylor joined Amec in 1993 and has been president of the Natural Resources Americas business since 2007.
John Pearson joined Amec from Chevron in 1990 and was appointed managing director, Natural Resources Europe and West Africa in 2007. He is immediate past chairman of the Offshore Contractors Association.
Dr Hisham Mahmoud joined Amec from URS in October 2010 as president, Environment & Infrastructure.
