Norfolk puts out £200m of building maintenance work

4 Jun 14 Norfolk County Council has gone out to tender with a framework deal for minor building works that could be worth up to £200m over the four-year term.

Norfolk County Council in conjunction with NPS (Norfolk Property Services, as was) wants to set up three framework agreements for responsive and planned building maintenance and minor and major project works up to a value of £300,000 across Norfolk and adjoining counties. NPS will be the primary user of the framework agreements acting as an agent for the council, but schools will be able to access the framework agreements either directly or through NPS.

However, according to the contract notice, the council could line up as many as 500 companies for the framework, so a place on the list seems little indication of actually getting any work.
