Parkstone Group first to buy SMART-Hub; a new rapid-site deployment tool for construction sites

6 Jul 12 Parkstone Group Limited has placed an order for 20 of Link-Connect’s recently launched SMART-Hub connectivity products.

This new-rapid-site deployment solution is a selfcontained, portable unit that provides secure and robust connectivity from day one and throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.

SMART-Hub is delivered to site ready to plug in and use and once online it will support any method of connectivity presented to it.

whole project. When the site is taken down the equipment can be re purposed so it is ready for the next project.

Graham McLean, Link-Connect Managing Director, said: “We spoke to our customers in the construction industry to identify their key connectivity requirements for new sites. They told us that rapid deployment of reliable connectivity, the need to safely access the corporate network, the ability to implement and easily change corporate policy and access controls, bandwidth performance and management over the project lifecycle and asset management at project completion were all issues common across the industry. We designed SMART-Hub as a one box solution that combines a number of technical benefits to meet these requirements with a flexible contract length to match the varying demands and durations of project lifecycles.”

Richard Avery, Parkstone Group Head of IT, said: “We can take the pre-configured SMART-Hub to site and be live on day one. This allows our people to have secure access to our corporate systems and data and means I can be confident that the necessary corporate policy and access controls are in place. I’m sure that this will save us time and remove the usual frustration associated with trying to get all the connectivity for a new site delivered on time.”
