PC Lavin adds to excavator fleet

Luton-based plant hire company PC Lavin has bought four new Doosan crawler excavators from local dealer Leach Lewis Heavy.

The three new Doosan DX140LC units are in the 12-14t class. The fourth new machine is a 21-24t class Doosan DX225LC.

Some of PC Lavin’s new excavators are destined for use on a contract at the Sellafield nuclear decommissioning plant, and also earmarked for the planned new stadium of Bristol City Football Club.

PC Lavin owner Chris Lavin said “We have been really impressed with the Doosan Crawler Excavator range due to its power, superior performance and reliability. Leach Lewis Heavy has also provided excellent on-going support on our existing fleet, and these factors combined made our decision easier to make.”

He added: “My preference for the Doosan range is cemented by the high residuals we achieve when we exchange our fleet with newer models.”

Leach Lewis Heavy area sales manager Tony Martin said: “We are delighted to have secured a repeat order from PC Lavin knowing that their confidence in the Doosan range and in Leach Lewis Heavy were the contributing factors.”
