Plans in for City's new tallest tower

9 Feb 16 A planning application has been submitted to build what will be the tallest tower in the City of London and second tallest in the UK.

Only The Shard across the river at London Bridge will be taller than the 73-storey development that is being planned for 1 Undershaft.

The developer is Singapore-based Aroland Holdings and the architect is Eric Parry.

According to designs submitted, the proposed building will stand 309.6 metres above ordnance datum, compared to 312.7 metres for The Shard.

Measured from the ground, 1 Undershaft will rise 305 metres; The Shard reaches 310 metres.
