The two businesses have completed the formation of their joint venture Fehmarnbelt Solution Services. The aim is for the two rental and construction site solution providers to work together to serve the project, which is due to start this summer.
“We are pleased to have received the approval from the competition authorities for the joint venture together with Zeppelin Rental,” said Magnus Rosén, president and CEO of Finland's Ramirent Group. “Our joint venture is well-positioned to be selected as rental supplier for the project and is ready to commence activities to offer our services to the different companies working on the tunnel construction project.”
The Fehmarnbelt tunnel construction project has a construction value of some €6.2bn and is expected to be completed in 2021. Ramirent says that typically the potential equipment rental volume shared among the rental companies servicing the project amounts to 1% to 3% of the total construction volume.

We support the involved companies with long-time experience in managing large-scale projects and provide the framework for safely and efficiently operating the construction site.”
Fehmarnbelt Solution Services will offer a 24/7 service on site with rental depots on the Danish and German side. The range of services offered will include modular space, equipment rental services, maintenance and repair, logistic and safety management and consulting, temporary infrastructure, energy and climate systems, facility management services, access control and waste management as well as training.
