Driver provides specialist commercial and dispute resolution services to the construction and engineering industries. An increasing amount of its business is from the oil & gas sector, with a new office opening in Aberdeen and expansion in Africa and the Middle East.

For the year to 30 September 2013 it made a pre-tax profit of £2.59m (2012: £1.2m) but the board said that underlying pre-tax profit was £3.07m (2012: £1.75m).

Revenue for the year was £37.2m (2012: £26.3m) with roughly half of the growth being a result of a full year's contribution from Trett, which was acquired in May 2012.

Employee and sub-consultant numbers increased 25% during the year from 271 to 338.

Chief executive Dave Webster said that Driver was on the look-out for business opportunities to co-operate with other companies. “We are looking to build relationships with other businesses where joint venture and partnership arrangements could be beneficial in securing opportunities that otherwise would not be within our reach,” he said.
