Reeds will offer a wide range of Caterpillar products including, mini excavators, compact track and skid steer loaders, telehandlers and rollers, on a subdealer basis for master distributor Finning. It will cover Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset.
Reeds director Thomas Reed said: “We see this appointment as an important strategic move, as it allows us to combine our expertise with Finning. We feel that Caterpillar’s quality and range of products, coupled with our reputation for providing a high level of customer service and satisfaction, will make for a bright future.”
Finning compact dealer manager John Tierney said that the deal with Reeds imporved Finning’s coverage in the southwest, “The engineering expertise they have, coupled with the commitment and drive to grow their new hire and supply business, is in tune with how we want to target growth in the compact equipment sector,” he said.
