It has signed an agreement to buy 100% of the equity capital of TekBond, which supplies a broad range of adhesives, sealants, sprays and masking tapes all over Brazil.
TekBond will join the part of Saint-Gobain’s business focused on high-performance materials. Saint-Gobain sees the acquisition as enabling its Brazilian operations to create synergies with the abrasives, mortars and flat glass business lines on the construction and industrial markets.
The deal is subject to the approval of the Brazilian antitrust authorities.
