It is ISG’s second major contract with developer Rightacres at Central Square, next to Cardiff Central Station – it is also building the new headquarters for BBC Cymru Wales there.

This latest project sees ISG construct a 130,000 sq ft, 12-storey office development on the plot next to the BBC’s new Welsh home. The steel frame building, with a glazed façade, sits on top of a shared basement structure with the BBC, providing operational and parking capacity for both developments. The structure includes nine floors of open plan office accommodation and a terrace area at level seven with views over the city.

ISG regional director Jon James said: “Demand for highly specified office space in central Cardiff is significantly outstripping supply so it’s not surprising that there has been so much interest in this office development at such an early stage. Building on our partnership with Rightacres, this latest win gives us the opportunity to complete two of the key elements of the Central Square masterplan and represents a major vote of confidence in our credentials delivering high value, high quality new build schemes in Wales.”
