A 200-tonne Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 is the latest addition to Select Plant Hire’s fleet.
Over the past 12 months Select has taken eight all terrain (AT) and six crawler cranes from Liebherr. Coupled with what is described as ‘significant ongoing investment’ in its Terex tower crane fleet, Lifting Solutions is the fastest growing part of Select’s UK business.
The 72-metre main boom of the new 200-tonne all terrain makes it an industry favourite for erecting and dismantling tower cranes, an application that persuaded Select to begin buying telescopic cranes more than a decade ago.
“Continuing investment means that Select has one of the youngest and highest quality lifting fleets in the country, and we’re delighted to welcome our second LTM 1200,” said Lifting Solutions leader Mark Herlihy. “With a diverse range of brand new equipment introduced over the past year, ranging from 45 to 300 tonnes [rated capacity], we have a strong product offering of modern, reliable equipment, and highly experienced staff.”
