Services contract awarded for Norway’s new national museum

16 Dec 16 Caverion has signed an agreement to deliver all the services for Norway’s new national museum.

The €38.8m (£32.5m) contract is with the Norwegian government’s property developer, Statsbygg. Caverion is responsible for the ventilation, heating, sanitation, electricity, information and communication services, and heating and sanitation.

The National Museum for Art, Architecture & Design will have an area of 54,600m2 and will be the biggest museum in the Nordic region.

“Our Large Projects unit is specialised in managing demanding projects,” said Knut Gaaserud , Executive Vice President & CEO, of the Denmark-Norway division of Caverion. “Unified processes and good project management competence ensure that the project is delivered according to its targets related to quality, time and financials.”

“With a project of this size and complexity we are dependent on stabile partners that can deliver work of high quality,” said Statsbygg project director, Steinar Støre .

Caverion’s work starts in June 2017 and will be completed in 2019.
