Severfield appoints safety director
Structural steelwork contractor Severfield has recruited Phillipa Recchia from Keepmoat to be group safety, health and environment (SHE) director.
Phillipa Recchia has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. Before working for Keepmoat, she was head of health and safety at Kaefer, the insulation and fire protection company.
Severfield chief executive Ian Lawson said: “We have implemented behavioural safety training across our entire business, reinforcing best practice for all our people. Phillipa’s expertise in this area will ensure that we continue to take this good work forward.”
Phillipa Recchia added: “I am delighted to be joining the company and will be working closely with each location to embed the training already carried out and further determine the strategic direction Severfield takes for health and safety.”
