Singapore awards runway project
Changi Airport Group has awarded a S$1.107bn (£633m) contract for development works as part of plans to operate a three-runway system.
The joint venture of Hock Lian Seng and Sembcorp Design & Construction will carry out work around Changi Airport’s Runway 2.
Tasks include taxiway pavement works, drainage, mechanical and electrical works, security fencing, perimeter roads, ancillary buildings, services and road diversions.
The airport’s three-runway system is expected to be operational in the early 2020s.
