The new arrivals were supplied by Bridgwater-based Kellands (Plant Sales), Doosan’s dealer for the southwest.

Dawnus plant hire manager Martin Egan said: “This new order continues our long standing association with Kellands and Doosan Construction Equipment and includes a 35-tonne machine, the DX340LC-5, three DX300LC-5 30-tonne excavators and two Doosan DX255LC-3 25-tonne machines. These excavators find themselves on major projects scattered all over the UK including a civil/marine project in Plymouth, an underpinning project on an old Victorian aqueduct in Birmingham and a hydroelectric project on the River Taff, just north of Cardiff in Wales.”

Established in Swansea in 2001, the turnover at Dawnus reached £248m in 2014, making it one of the fastest growing construction companies in the UK.
