Largest of the three new contracts is a US$225m (£135m) hospital expansion in Gainesville. The 521,000 square foot project will be constructed adjacent to the UF Health/Shands Cancer Hospital, which was completed by Skanska USA in 2009. Construction will begin towards the end of this year and is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2017.

The three projects include a US$202m scheme to rebuild the Rockaway Beach boardwalk in New York City. Skanska will rebuild nearly six miles of the boardwalk, which was damaged during Hurricane Sandy in October 2012. New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is managing the project on behalf of New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. Construction begins in April 2014 and substantial completion is expected in spring 2017.

The company has also been appointed to build a US$80m office building in Redmond, due for completion in spring 2015.
