Skanska to bank initial £46m from Welsh Water

25 Mar 15 Skanska has revealed that it expects to make £46m of revenues in the first two years of its Welsh Water framework.

A partnership of Skanska Construction UK and Hyder Consulting was one of three teams selected by Dwr Cymru Welsh Water in July 2014 for the AMP6 asset management period, along with Mott MacDonald Bentley and Morgan Sindall/Arup.

The framework runs from April 2015 to 2020 following an early contractor phase involving all firms, with an option of a five year extension. Total expected workload is £1.5bn.

Skanska said that it expects to get £46m of this as its share in the first two years, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska UK in the first quarter of 2015.
