Specialists wanted in Hampshire

Portsmouth City Council is planning to draw up framework contracts for specialist minor works that could add up to £52m-worth of work over four year.

The framework will be open to neighbouring Hampshire councils, including Gosport, Havant, Fareham and East Hampshire.

As many as 88 specialist companies could be put on the list to share in the work.

There are 10 separate lots to bid for:

  • Metal railings & fencing – up to £760k a year
  • Decoration – up to £2m a year
  • Structural Works – up to £1.2m a year
  • Composite doors & PVCu windows – up to £2.2m a year
  • Pitched Roofing – up to £1.3m a year
  • Flat Roofing – up to £1.1m a year
  • General building work – up to £1.6m a year
  • Demolition & ground works – up to £900k a year
  • Aluminium doors & windows – up to £920k a year
  • Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels – up to £950k a year.
