The construction of the 34MW La Mina run-of-the-river hydroelectric plant is Züblin Chile’s fifth project for Colbún, which is one of Chile’s largest electric utilities and has 22 power plants.
The contract for Züblin Chile comprises all earth and concrete works for the intake structures, an open-channel waterway, a turbine hall and a stilling basin. The construction works are expected to last about 25 months and should be completed in early 2017.
